Thunder Seeks Entertainers for Game Nights

Oklahoma City, Thursday, Sept. 6 – The Oklahoma City Thunder announced today that they are seeking energetic and talented fans to be a part of the game-night show at Chesapeake Energy Arena. The team will hold auditions for both the Storm Chasers and the Thunder Drummers later this month.

The Storm Chasers, the team’s interactive squad, keep fans excited and engaged at Thunder home games during pregame, timeouts, promotions and other game breaks. The team showcases individuals with a variety of talents, from acrobatic dunking to dancing. Ideal candidates are energetic and charismatic and have unique talents and skills to help fans maintain a high level of excitement at the arena.

The Thunder Drummers engage and entertain fans through community events, pre- and postgame performances and as featured entertainers during Thunder home games. Talented drummers with a high degree of showmanship are encouraged to try out.

“These two squads serve as some of the most visible ambassadors of our team and are key to making sure our fans have a great experience at Thunder home games,” said John Leach, director of Events and Entertainment.

Auditions for the Thunder Drummers will take place Wednesday, Sept. 19 at 6:30 p.m. Tryouts will be held at the ACM@UCO Performance Lab in Bricktown, at 329 E. Sheridan Ave.

Storm Chasers auditions are scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 29 at 1 p.m. at the Thunder Events Center, 14701 N. Lincoln Blvd. in Edmond.
