Thunder Announces New Tulsa Radio Partner

Oklahoma City, Tuesday, Sept. 10 – KAKC (1300 AM The Buzz) will be the new Tulsa radio home of the Oklahoma City Thunder under a multi-year partnership agreement announced today by the team and Clear Channel Communications Tulsa. The Thunder has also added KKBI (106.1 FM) in Broken Bow and KMCO (101.3 FM) in McAlester as new affiliates in its 13-station Thunder Radio Network.

"We are excited to join with Clear Channel Communications to bring the Thunder to KAKC and our Tulsa-area fans," said Dan Mahoney, Thunder vice president of Corporate Communications and Community Relations. "We are also pleased to be able to broaden the reach of Thunder Basketball on the radio in southeastern Oklahoma by adding these great stations in McAlester and Broken Bow. Our fans statewide now have the ability to enjoy Matt Pinto and his radio calls of every Thunder game." Pinto returns to the air for his sixth season as the radio voice of the Thunder.

KAKC is Tulsa's ESPN Radio affiliate and also broadcasts games for the Tulsa 66ers, the Thunder's NBA Development League team in Tulsa.
