White Hot Uniforms Light Up Social Media World

MIAMI, November 27 – The Miami HEAT announced today that last week’s unveiling of the White Hot uniform lit up the social media world with impressions totaling 15,964,766 according to data collected by tweetreach.

The HEAT unveiled their White Hot uniform on Saturday, November 24 when they hosted the Cleveland Cavaliers at AmericanAirlines Arena. On twitter, a total of 3,539 tweets were sent referencing the White Hot uniform. Those tweets reached a total of 7,948,606 different people with total impressions reaching 15,004,510. On Facebook, the White Hot uniform garnered 53,999 “likes,” 5,070 “shares” and 1,753 comments with impressions totaling 960,256.

The White Hot uniform recognizes the success of the HEAT color-themed Playoff campaigns, highlighted by the two White Hot Championships in 2006 and 2012. The White Hot uniform is bold and sleek, an all-white garment with white team name, numeral and logo elements, highlighted by black trim. The White Hot uniform will become the team’s Saturday game uniform for the season, with two other nationally-televised home game dates included amongst the wearing schedule. Additional dates the team will wear the White Hot uniform include: December 1, December 6, December 8, December 15, December 22, February 10 and April 6. During the 2011-12 season, the HEAT was awarded first place in social media growth by the NBA during their yearly Sales and Marketing meetings, while also taking home the NBA Retailer of the Year award presented during the 2012 NBA Annual Retail Summit Meeting.
