Jarvis Varnado Recalled From NBA Development League

MIAMI, FL – The Miami HEAT announced today that Jarvis Varnado has been recalled from the Sioux Falls Skyforce of the NBA Development League. He was assigned to the HEAT’s D-League affiliate on March 21.

Varnado appeared in eight games (all starts) in his most recent stint for the Skyforce and averaged 18.6 points, 10.0 rebounds, 2.75 blocks and 1.75 steals while shooting 64.4 percent from the field. He blocked at least four shots in three different games and scored at least 20 points five times, including a 23-point, 20-rebound double-double in his last game on April 6. He has now appeared in 23 NBA Development League games (22 starts) this season averaging 14.5 points, 9.9 rebounds, 3.35 blocks and 1.00 steals while shooting 57.3 percent from the field.

After signing two 10-day contracts with the HEAT, Varnado signed with Miami for the remainder of the season on January 30. He has appeared in five games with the HEAT this season, totaling two points, two blocks and an assist in 19 minutes of action while shooting 1-of-3 from the field.
