HEAT Week Charged By Mountain Dew To Launch October 20

MIAMI, October 19 – The Miami HEAT is calling on HEAT Nation to get fired up for the start of the 2016-17 season by participating in HEAT Week. Charged by Mountain Dew, HEAT Week will take place from October 20 through October 28 with the team engaging its legion of fans both locally and around the world with a variety of activities and events.

A complete listing of all HEAT Week events is listed below:

October 20

HEAT Car Decal Event

6:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.

HEAT fans will have the opportunity to stop by the AmericanAirlines Arena during their morning commute and have a FREE HEAT window decal presented by Metro Signs placed on their cars (while supplies last). The Miami HEAT Dancers, Burnie and the Xtreme Team will be on hand to mingle with HEAT fans. A variety of Mountain Dew Kickstart samples will be provided to all HEAT fans in attendance. 790 The Ticket will be broadcasting live from the event.

October 21

Metro Rail HEAT Takeover

7:00 a.m.

The HEAT Experience will join metro rail riders at Government Center and take a ride to Dadeland South station. The HEAT Experience will be fully equipped with HEAT giveaways and Mountain Dew products.

Brand New MiamiHEATStore.com Unveiling

The Miami HEAT Store will unveil a new mobile-friendly website including a brand new design and features allowing HEAT fans to design their very own personalized jerseys.

Philadelphia 76ers vs. Miami HEAT

7:30 p.m.

The HEAT hosts the Philadelphia 76ers at 7:30 p.m. for the final home preseason game at the AmericanAirlines Arena. Watch the game on FOX Sports Sun or listen to the game in English on the HEAT Radio Network and Spanish on Radio Mambí 710 AM.

October 22

Justise Winslow Appearance at Florida Blue Takeover

1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

The Miami HEAT Dancers, Uptown Dale, Burnie and the Xtreme Team will be distributing free HEAT giveaways at The Florida Blue in the Falls to get HEAT fans ready for the upcoming season. HEAT Player, Justise Winslow, will be on hand to mix and mingle and take photos with HEAT fans from 1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. Florida Blue is located at 8895 SW 136th Street, Miami FL 33176.

HEAT Loud and Proud Event

8:00 p.m. – 2:00 a.m.

HEAT Loud & Proud will feature the best in music, entertainment, bites and blends, as well as special guest appearances by representatives of the LGBTQ community and the Miami HEAT. Miami HEAT players, Justise Winslow and Josh Richardson will make an appearance from 10:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. and NBC 6's entertainment reporter and host of 6 In The Mix, Roxanne Vargas will emcee the event. The musical lineup will include DJ Tracy Young, DJ Irie, DJ R Silva, DJ Citizen Jane, DJ Alyson Calagna, and DJ AJ Reddy. The HEAT Dancers, Burnie and the Xtreme Team will mingle with guests and the three Larry O'Brien championship trophies won by the HEAT will be available for photographs.

October 23

Digital Download Day

Be the first to download the latest HEAT graphics on your phone, tablet or desktop. The HEAT will debut their new graphic look for the 2016-17 season on HEAT.com with new wallpapers, photos, and more.

Mountain Dew NBA Tipoff Event

6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

The Miami HEAT is teaming up with Mountain Dew to get HEAT fans excited for the 2016-17 season by installing a 40-ft. high co-branded basketball in the heart of Wynwood. HEAT fans are encouraged to take photos with the basketball and post to their social media sites. The Larry O’Brien Championship trophies will be on display and fans will have the opportunity to win tickets to 2016 Opening Night.

October 24

HEATMcDonald’s Takeover

8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.

The McDonald’s restaurant located at 6405 Nova Drive in Davie will be HEAT Central for the breakfast crowd. The Miami HEAT Dancers, Uptown Dale, Burnie and the Xtreme Team will serve product, entertain and interact with customers, as well as give away HEAT gear, while supplies last.

HEAT Papa John’s Takeover

6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

The Miami HEAT Dancers, Burnie and the Xtreme Team will deliver Papa John’s Pizza to a randomly chosen college. Follow @MiamiHEAT to find out what locations received a special visit.

October 25

HEAT on the Street

5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

The Miami HEAT Dancers, Uptown Dale, Burnie and the Xtreme Team will hit the streets to make surprise stops at select locations equipped with FREE HEAT giveaways and Mountain Dew products. Follow @MiamiHEAT to find out what locations received a special visit.

October 26

HEAT and Miller Lite Bar Crawl

7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

The Miami HEAT Dancers, Uptown Dale, Burnie and the Xtreme Team will visit local bars in the Downtown area to surprise HEAT fans watching the Miami HEAT take on the Orlando Magic. The HEAT Experience will be fully equipped with HEAT Fan Kits and other Miller Lite giveaways. The HEAT Bar Crawl is presented by Miller Lite.

October 27

HEAT After Dark

7:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.

HEAT fans ages 18 and older are invited to the AmericanAirlines Arena to engage in the excitement of playing in a pickup basketball game on the Miami HEAT hardwood. Hosted by In-Arena Host, Uptown Dale, fans will enjoy an evening of hoops, music and special lighting along with visits from the Miami HEAT Dancers, Burnie and Xtreme Team. It’s like “midnight bowling”, but basketball at the HEAT’s house. HEAT fans in attendance will receive a HEAT t-shirt, while supplies last. This is a free event. Registration will begin on Friday, October 21st at HEATAfterDark.com.

October 28

Opening Night 2016: Charlotte Hornets vs. Miami HEAT

8:00 p.m.

All of HEAT Nation will come together as the Miami HEAT embarks on its 29th season by taking on the Charlotte Hornets during the Home Opener on October 28th. Tipoff is at 8:00 p.m. The HEAT will distribute 20,000 HEAT t-shirts presented by FOX Sports Sun. Tickets are still available for purchase on HEAT.com.
