MIAMI, October 25 – The Miami HEAT announced today that they have waived forward Khem Birch, guard Larry Drew II, guard Tyler Johnson and forward Shawn Jones.
Birch appeared in six games with the HEAT this preseason and averaged 1.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.17 blocks, 1.0 assists, 1.00 steals and 16.9 minutes.
Drew, who was signed as a free agent on October 20, did not appear in a game this preseason with Miami.
Johnson appeared in one game with the HEAT this preseason totaling 17 points, four rebounds, four steals and two assists in 36:13 minutes of action against San Antonio on October 18.
Jones appeared in four games with Miami this preseason and averaged 3.0 points, 3.0 rebounds and 16.5 minutes while shooting 66.7 percent (6-of-9) from the field.
The HEAT’s roster now stands at 15.
