Re-HEAT: Miami HEAT Delivers Food To Chapman Partnership

The Miami HEAT is in its seventh season of the Re-HEAT Program, where unserved food from all Miami HEAT home games is redistributed to local homeless assistance programs. Through the assistance of presenting partner, C1 Bank and supporting partner, Levy Cares, more than 33,000 pounds of food has been distributed to Re-HEAT beneficiaries, the Miami Rescue Mission and the Chapman Partnership.

As a part of MLK Day of Service, the nation’s leading campaign for citizen action volunteer service, HEAT Legend and Hall of Famer Alonzo Mourning, along with representatives from C1 Bank and Levy Restaurants, visited the Chapman Partnership facility to deliver food and serve meals to over 400 of their residents.

“The Miami HEAT, starting from the top with Micky Arison and Pat Riley, have created an amazing culture in our organization where everybody gives back to the community that we work in. This is just a part of the process, a part of what we do. I’m proud and very pleased to be a part of an organization that understands the importance of giving,” said during the event by Mourning.
