HEAT Youth Basketball Clinic

MIAMI – The Miami HEAT hosted a HEAT Youth Basketball Clinic presented by Gatorade at the City of Miami Beach Parks and Recreations Department’s North Shore Park Youth Center. HEAT Players Justin Hamilton and Hassan Whiteside joined HEAT Assistant Coach, Dan Craig and former HEAT Trainer Ron Culp in conducting the clinic. In-Arena Host, Uptown Dale, as well as HEAT Mascot Burnie and the Xtreme Team also joined them. The event included children from their after-school program which is designed to engage children in educational and recreational activities that promote their physical, cognitive, motor, social, and emotional development.

This clinic is part of the NBA FIT Program, which features all NBA and NBA D-League teams and players joining community members and partners in highlighting the importance of living an active, healthy lifestyle through grassroots programs and events. The HEAT Youth Basketball Program is in support of NBA FIT which celebrates the values of the game – hard work, discipline, leadership and teamwork – and features some of the best athletes in the world encouraging fans of all ages to lead healthy, active lives. These programs and events will emphasize NBA FIT’s key pillars: “Be Active, Eat Healthy and Play Together.”
