PwC Cleveland and Cleveland Cavaliers Launch “Trees for Threes” Program

CLEVELAND - The Cleveland Cavaliers and PwC US have teamed up to make the Northeast Ohio community greener by launching the "Trees for Threes” program. As part of their commitment to sustainability and the environment, the Cavs and PwC have pledged to plant one tree for every three pointer the Cavs make during regular season home games.

In the spring, Cavs team members and PwC employees will plant the trees in parks and other areas to be environmentally improved. Together, the Cavs and PwC are helping to sustain the environment and provide green space for generations to come.

“We are thrilled to be teaming with the Cleveland Cavaliers to promote the ‘Trees for Threes’ program in Northeast Ohio. PwC is devoted to improving its communities,” said Bob Saada, managing partner for PwC’s Cleveland office and the Lake Erie Region. “We recognize the revitalization efforts Northeast Ohio has made, and it is important for us as a firm, and more importantly as individuals, to sustainably improve the areas where we live and work. Our people are excited to give their time and energy to beautifying our local community.”

“Doing what we can to promote sustainability is very much a part of our organizational consciousness, and ‘Trees for Threes’ gives us another opportunity to make a positive difference in our environment,” said Kerry Bubolz, Cavaliers president of business operations. “We give a green thumbs up to PwC and to Pettiti Garden Centers, who will be donating the trees, for their assistance in launching this great initiative in our community.”

Cavaliers’ fans can log onto the Cavaliers website www.nba.com/cavaliers/community/trees to view the up-to-date “Trees for Threes” ticker to track the number of trees to be planted at the end of the season and follow the conversation on Twitter using #Trees4Threes.
