Chicago, IL (November 15, 2010) – Comcast SportsNet, the television home for the most games and most comprehensive coverage of the Chicago Bulls, will debut a new feature segment focusing on the backgrounds and behind-the-scenes lives of various Bulls players and coaches. This new feature segment entitled Chicago Bulls: Up Close and Personal will make its Comcast SportsNet debut on Wednesday, November 17 at 8:00 p.m. on U.S. Cellular Bulls Pre-Game Live. Immediately following the pre-game show, fans can look forward to live NBA action as the Bulls continue their seven-game road trip at San Antonio beginning at 8:30 p.m.
The premiere segment of Up Close and Personal focuses on newly-acquired Bulls sharp-shooter Kyle Korver. In addition to interviewing Korver, Comcast SportsNet’s Luke Stuckmeyer travels from Salt Lake City, UT to Pella, IA to interview Kyle’s family and his high school coach to learn more about Kyle’s background and what drove him to become the player that he is today. What we learn is that Korver’s inner motivation is to help others, specifically children, as he has set up the Kyle Korver Foundation (www.kylekorverfoundation.com) helping better the lives of inner-city kids in Salt Lake City, Philadelphia and Omaha with plans to expand to other cities in the near future.
Korver’s other passion is raising awareness to help build ramps for disabled children and adults via his Seer Clothing line of t-shirts (www.seerclothing.com), as every purchase made goes directly into helping fund the construction of these high-cost ramps. This very special Up Close and Personal look at Kyle Korver can also be seen on Sunday, November 21 at 10:00 p.m. on SportsNet Central presented by DEX.
