In his first season with the Chicago Bulls as Player Development Assistant … joins the Bulls after spending ten years at the collegiate level, where he held head coaching stints at the Southampton Campus of Long Island University (1995-1997), University of North Florida (1997-1999), and Florida Atlantic University (1999-2005) … also served as an assistant coach at Indiana University during the 2005-06 season … a 10-year veteran of the NBA, Green played for the Chicago Bulls (1983-1986), Detroit Pistons (1986-1987), New York Knicks (1987-1989), Orlando Magic (1989-1990), San Antonio Spurs (1990-1993) and Charlotte Hornets (1993) … a native of Brooklyn is a graduate of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) … Green is one of eight players in the schools history to have his uniform number retired … a consensus second team All-American in 1983, he finished his collegiate career with 2,073 (17.4 ppg) and 1,276 rebounds (10.7 rpg) … Green was drafted by the Bulls in the first round (fifth overall) of the 1983 NBA Draft.
