Chicago Bulls extend partnership with WRTO-AM
October 2, 2012 -- The Chicago Bulls announced today the extension of their broadcast partnership with Univision radio station WRTO-AM to broadcast every Bulls home game (including pre and postseason games) through the 2014-15 season. This year marks the fourth season WRTO-AM will broadcast Bulls home games in Spanish.
“We are delighted to be continuing our mutually beneficial association with WRTO-AM for the next three seasons,” said Steve Schanwald, Bulls Executive Vice President of Business Operations. “Our Hispanic fans are most important to us, and so reaching them through these radio broadcasts in the Spanish language plays a critical role in our attempt to grow new and more passionate Bulls fans in this important demographic. We are especially pleased that WRTO-AM will broadcast every pre and regular season home game representing a dramatic increase in the number of Bulls games broadcast in Spanish.”
Omar Ramos and Matt Moreno will call all home Bulls games on WRTO-AM, with Ramos continuing to serve as the play-by-play announcer and Moreno beginning his first full season as the analyst. This season, WRTO-AM will air a weekly show called, “El Corral De Los Bulls” (The Bullpen), which will feature commentary from both Ramos and Moreno. Each week the broadcast team will recap all of the on-court action and preview upcoming Bulls matchups.

The Bulls have several other initiatives geared toward Chicago’s Hispanic community. On three occasions this season (March 2 versus Brooklyn, March 6 at San Antonio and March 27 versus Miami), the team will wear specially designed uniforms with “Los Bulls” branding in tribute to its Hispanic fans. Additionally, the team’s website, Bulls.com, can also be read in Spanish. The general information page, main ticketing page, and a handful of feature stories are translated to Spanish for our Spanish speaking fans.
