Bulls remain perfect on the road with win over Bucks

MILWAUKEE – Pau Gasol and Taj Gibson recorded double-doubles as the visiting Chicago Bulls defeated the Milwaukee Bucks 95-86 on Wednesday night.

Gasol finished with 22 points and 14 rebounds, while Gibson scored 23 to go with 10 boards.

Derrick Rose returned to the lineup after missing the last two games with sprained ankles. He tallied 13 points and dished out seven assists in 31 minutes.

With the victory, Chicago improved to 4-1 overall and 3-0 on the road this season.

The Bulls have now won nine consecutive games at the BMO Harris Bradley Center, their longest winning streak on the road in series history.

Chicago led Milwaukee by a bucket, 23-21, after the opening quarter. The pace of the game picked up in the second frame as the Bucks outscored the Bulls 32-26 and led by as many as nine.

Milwaukee took a 53-49 lead into intermission despite a game-high 15 points and five rebounds from Gibson, who again got the start in place of Joakim Noah (illness).

The Bulls opened the third period with a 13-2 run as they took a 62-55 lead six minutes in. Though Chicago limited Milwaukee to eight points in first nine minutes of the quarter, the Bucks fought back to get within two, 72-70, as the teams headed to the fourth.

Chicago outscored Milwaukee 23-16 in the final frame to hold on for the win.

Giannis Antetokounmpo led the Bucks (2-3) with 13 points, while Khris Middleton added 11.

Up next, the Bulls travel to Philadelphia to face the 76ers on Friday night.
