Types of massages offered at AthletiCo:
Clinical Massage Treatment – Consists of traditional Swedish Massage, deep tissue, muscle therapy, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, and scar tissue work. Complements physical or occupational therapy.
Sports Massage – For pre/post activity, this is designed to prepare the muscle for exercise and to help muscles recover more quickly for the next activity. The goal is to help keep the athlete at optimal performance by freeing up impaired movements and to speed up recovery and healing scarred tissue.
Pre/Post Natal Massage and Pregnancy Treatments – Focuses on the well being of both mother and child promoting relaxation and relieving the discomforts of pregnancy. This treatment helps decrease stress, swelling, and pain.
Myofascial Release – Application of sustained pressure and movement into the fascial system in order to eliminate fascial restrictions and facilitate the release of holding patterns. This can relieve a wide variety of pain syndromes.
Chair Massage – Focus is to relieve muscular tension in your back, neck, arms, and hands. This helps reduce stress level, anxiety, and ease pain.
