December 13, 2011 – The Bulls’ Taj Gibson, Jimmy Butler, C.J. Watson, John Lucas III, Bill Wennington and Benny the Bull helped 20 students from Chicago Bulls College Prep spend $100 gift cards courtesy of Dick’s Sporting Goods on Monday evening.
Beginning at 5 p.m. at the Dick’s Sporting Goods store in Niles, the Bulls players offered shopping tips for the students and helped them pick out shoes, jerseys and other athletic gear for their holiday gifts.
Before the shopping spree, the students enjoyed dinner provided by Vienna Beef.
In line with its year-round commitment to give back to Chicago, the Bulls have tipped-off their “Home for the Holidays” campaign to reach out to the community this holiday season. The Bulls have planned numerous events to share the joy of the holidays with Chicagoans in need including a toy drive, a shopping spree and holiday parties with local charity organizations.
