June 4, 2012 – The Chicago Bulls and Chicago Blackhawks teamed up with Constellation Energy to host a community greening event on Saturday at the Westhaven Park Gardens, located near the United Center.

Volunteers from each organization, along with some local community children, helped beautify the gardens by adding plants to the landscape as well as cleaning up the area.

Additionally, the Bulls, Blackhawks and Constellation donated a new wood compost bin and gardening tools to the Westhaven Park Gardens.

Saturday’s event marked the first time the Bulls and Blackhawks have joined forces for a community project. In March, Constellation Energy was named the “The Official Energy Provider” for both organizations through the 2015-16 seasons. Through the partnership, Constellation also sponsored both teams “Go Green” games held at the United Center in April.
