For the past season and a half, National Basketball Association (NBA) security policy has required random screening and wanding of all guests entering the BMO Harris Bradley Center for Milwaukee Bucks games and any NBA games. Effective with the Wednesday, Feb. 20 Brooklyn Nets vs. Bucks game and for all Bucks games thereafter, the NBA is requiring that this security screening of every fan occur at every Bucks home game. The policy assures a safe and friendly experience for all games for all of our guests. Our guests’ compliance and cooperation is appreciated. To prevent any excessive waiting or long lines, it is suggested that guests arrive early and that any unnecessary items be left in their locked vehicles if possible, and that any bags or purses are open and ready for inspection when the screener position is reached. Keys and metallic objects should be held in their hand upon arrival.
The Bucks and the BMO Harris Bradley Center have prepared for several weeks for this process to provide for timely entry. The change in policy is not the result of any specific finding or experience in Milwaukee. It is a league mandate, and all 30 teams and venues are required to comply.
