Bucks and Sam's Hope Host Scholastic Books Book Fair

The Bucks and Sam’s Hope will be hosting a  Scholastic Books
Book Fair outside section 206 beginning at 6 p.m. and until the start of the 4th quarter.  A wide selection of kids’ books will be available for sale with proceeds from the event going to support  The Sam’s Hope Foundation to provide new books to children who otherwise might not be able to acquire their own.

The Book Fair will feature titles for all ages and span a wide cross-section of interest as well as reasonable price points.  The sale gives Bucks fans who are parents, grandparents, special friends and family members the opportunity to select books as gifts to children in their lives for the holidays or simply to encourage reading in young people.

The Bucks and Sam’s Hope have collaborated for 16 years to build a lifetime love of reading in young people, with Bucks player appearances, special events at schools and gatherings, and a wide distribution of books to children. On Monday November 18th, the entire Bucks roster of players and coaches read to students from six different Milwaukee area schools at the Milwaukee Art Museum who gathered around the players, each in separate galleries to read and discuss the importance of reading. Later in the season, the entire team will host a thousand students at an annual Book Blast in the BMO Harris Bradley Center, at which players will read to the students and distribute books for the students’ home libraries.

Sam’s Hope and the Bucks are pleased to have partners like UPS Stores, The U.S Marines, Threads of Hope participating in the book fair.
