Inks deal with Washington
Audige averaged 5.4 points, 1.4 assists and 1.2 steals in 14.0 minutes across five appearances for the Heat in the 2023 Summer League. The former Northwestern guard will likely compete for a two-way roster spot with the Wizards.

Returning to Washington
Gibson will return to Washington for a second season after he appeared in 49 games (two starts) during the 2022-23 campaign. The backup center averaged 3.4 points and 1.9 rebounds in 9.8 minutes per game, marking the first time in his 14-year career he ended a season with less than 10 minutes per game. The 38-year-old may be able to carve out a bigger role behind Daniel Gafford with Kristaps Porzingis no longer in the picture, but Gibson likely still won't be fantasy relevant during the 2023-24 season.

Skipping FIBA World Cup
Avdija missed the final four games of the regular season while dealing with elbow bursitis, but it's another injury that will keep him from playing for his home country this summer. The 22-year-old didn't show up on Washington's injury report at any point in 2022-23 due to a hip issue, so the organization may just be exercising some extra caution with the young forward by having him skip out on the international tournament. At this stage, Avdija is likely to be good to go for training camp, when he'll be joined by several new faces on an overhauled Washington roster. Avdija, Kyle Kuzma, Daniel Gafford, Delon Wright and Corey Kispert are the Wizards' only regular rotation players from 2022-23 that are still on the roster.
