Washington Wizards To Participate In 2012 NBA Summer League

WASHINGTON, DC – The Washington Wizards’ 2012 NBA Summer League schedule was released today by the National Basketball Association. The Wizards will play five games in six days and will compete in the first game of the 2012 NBA Summer League, as they take on the Atlanta Hawks at 4 p.m. ET on Friday, July 13.

NBA Summer League games will be played at the Thomas & Mack Center and the COX Pavilion on the campus of the University of Nevada Las Vegas and will feature a record 24 teams competing in a 60-game schedule July 13-22.

Teams joining the Wizards in Las Vegas include the Atlanta Hawks, Boston Celtics, Charlotte Bobcats, Chicago Bulls, Cleveland Cavaliers, Dallas Mavericks, Denver Nuggets, Golden State Warriors, Houston Rockets, Los Angeles Clippers, Los Angeles Lakers, Memphis Grizzlies, Miami Heat, Milwaukee Bucks, Minnesota Timberwolves, New Orleans Hornets, New York Knicks, Phoenix Suns, Portland Trail Blazers, San Antonio Spurs, Sacramento Kings, Toronto Raptors, as well as a team of NBA D-League Select players.

NBA TV will televise all 60 games, including 39 live from both the Thomas & Mack Center and COX Pavilion. Games will also be available on digital platforms. A complete broadcast schedule, as well as the Washington Wizards 2012 Summer League roster, will be released at a later date.
