WJFK 106.7 The Fan to Serve as the Flagship Station of the Wizards For Second Consecutive Season

The Washington Wizards and WJFK Radio announced today that 106.7 The Fan will serve as the team’s flagship radio station for the second consecutive season.

WJFK will air all 82 Wizards regular-season games live as well as pregame and postgame shows before and after all Wizards broadcasts. Dave Johnson, the longtime radio voice of the Wizards, will continue to serve as the broadcast voice for play-by-play, while Glenn Consor will once again provide analysis.

The Fan will also broadcast all Wizards preseason games live, except for the Oct. 17 game versus New York, which will air live on 1580 AM at 6 p.m. and will be tape-delayed that night on 106.7 at approximately 8 p.m.

“There is an incredible amount of excitement surrounding John Wall and the new-look Wizards,” said Chris Kinard, WJFK program director. “Wizards fans deserve an FM broadcast with top-notch announcers like Dave and Glenn. We are pleased to provide extensive Wizards coverage throughout our local lineup of sports talk shows, seven days a week.”

The Fan will serve as the flagship for the Wizards Radio Network, which covers the region with stations throughout Virginia, Maryland and West Virginia, the following affiliates will air at least 50 Wizards games this season:
