The Washington Wizards’ John Wall and the Los Angels Clippers’ Blake Griffin today were named the Eastern and Western Conference T-Mobile Rookies of the Month, respectively, for games played through April.
Wall led all Eastern Conference rookies in scoring (19.4 ppg) and assists (6.0 apg). He also led all NBA players in steals during the month (3.0 spg).
Griffin led all rookies in scoring (23.3 ppg), rebounding (11.9 rpg), and was third in assists (5.0 apg). He is the only player in the league averaging at least 20 points, 12 rebounds and three assists.

April 5 vs. Detroit: Scored 26 points, dished out 12 assists, pulled down six rebounds and had four steals in a 107-105 victory over the Pistons.
April 9 vs. Atlanta: Scored 19 points to go with seven assists and five rebounds in a 115-83 win over the Hawks.
April 11 vs. Boston: Scored 24 points to go with nine rebounds and three assists in a 95-94 victory over the Celtics.
