Washington Wizards Announce Composite 2010-11 TV Broadcast Schedule

The Washington Wizards and Comcast SportsNet Mid-Atlantic have announced the team’s 83-game regional television schedule for the 2010-11 season, which includes 80 regular-season games and three preseason games, including Washington’s preseason opener at Dallas on October 5th at 8:30 p.m. and the preseason games at Verizon Center on October 12th vs. Atlanta and October 14th Milwaukee at 7:00 p.m. For the first time, the network’s schedule features high-definition broadcasts for all regular-season Wizards games.

Comcast SportsNet, along with the Wizards’ national broadcast partners, will provide area fans with live coverage of the team’s complete schedule throughout the 2010-11 NBA regular season. CSN’s television coverage of the upcoming Wizards season includes 73 games on Comcast SportsNet and 10 games on Comcast SportsNet Plus. This season marks the first time that Comcast SportsNet Plus will be available in HD to all cable and satellite providers throughout the region. The network’s regular-season broadcast schedule opens on October 30th when the Wizards play the Hawks in Atlanta at 7:00 p.m. John Wall, the Wizards’ number-one overall draft choice, will make his Verizon Center debut on Comcast SportsNet during the team’s home opener against Philadelphia on November 2nd at 7:00 p.m. Washington’s regular season opener at Orlando on October 28th at 8:00 p.m. and Thanksgiving night game in Atlanta on November 25th at 8:00 p.m. can be seen exclusively on TNT.

Comcast SportsNet’s live game coverage of the Wizards will be led by three-time Emmy Award-winning play-by-play announcer Steve Buckhantz and veteran analyst Phil Chenier, who are entering their 14th season together. Chris Miller, the network’s Wizards television beat reporter, returns as the sideline reporter.
