Wizards to Open Regular Season At Orlando on October 28

The National Basketball Association announced tonight that the Wizards will begin their season on the road in Orlando on October 28 at 8:00 p.m. on TNT in what will be the debut of number one overall draft pick John Wall and the Magic’s first-ever regular season game in the new Amway Center.

“We’re proud to be on the national stage as we open the season on the road and that fans across the country can watch as we usher in a new era of Wizards basketball,” said Wizards President Ernie Grunfeld.

The NBA released the schedule of nationally-televised games for opening week, Christmas Day and Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of the 2010-11 season earlier tonight. The full 2010-11 regular season schedule will be announced on Tuesday, August 10.
