2003-04 Opening Night Roster Set

Wizards President of Basketball Operations Ernie Grunfeld announced that the team has waived Adam Harrington. Harrington, a 6-5 guard, played in six preseason games for Washington this year after being added to the Wizards training camp roster. Last season, Harrington played for the Denver Nuggets and the Dallas Mavericks.

Jerry Stackhouse (arthroscopic surgery – right knee) and Mitchell Butler (tendonitis – right knee) will begin the season on the injured list.

Today’s roster moves leave the Wizards with a 12-man active roster for the start of the season. Washington begins play on Wednesday, October 29 at 8:30 p.m. against the Chicago Bulls. The Wizards then travel to Toronto for a match up against the Raptors on Friday, October 31 at 7:00 p.m. The team will play its first home game on Saturday, November 1 at 7:00 p.m. against the defending Eastern Conference Champion New Jersey Nets.
