July 15th Game Recap: Wizards vs. D-League Select Team

Wizards Drop Game 3 of Vegas Summer League

The Wizards made a late charge in the fourth quarter, but fell short in the end and dropped Sunday night's game to the NBA D-League Select Team, 85-78.

It appeared that fatigue set in on the Wizards in that second half, as this was the third consecutive game for this squad after a week filled with two-a-days. The Wizards now get a much needed day off before returning to the court on Tuesday night vs. Memphis.

The bright spot was once again Bradley Beal, who led the Wizards with 20 points and six rebounds. This was Beal's second time of the Summer League in which he eclipsed the 20 point plateau.

Shelvin Mack had a nice fourth quarter and was a key contributor to the comeback attempt. He finished with 14 points, while fellow point guard and Summer League invitee Earl Calloway had his best game of the trip with 12 points off the bench.

Chris Singleton and Jan Vesely each chipped in with nine points and Singleton pulled down a team-high eight boards.

Next, the Wizards play the NBA D-League on Tuesday night at 6:00 p.m. (et).
