Glenn Consor Joins Washington Wizards Radio Network As Analyst

The Washington Wizards announced today that Glenn Consor will join longtime voice of the Wizards Dave Johnson as an analyst for all Wizards radio broadcasts this season. Washington Sports and Entertainment Chief of Staff and Executive Vice President Matt Williams made the announcement.

“We’re thrilled that Glenn is joining our broadcasts,” said Williams. “In addition to his longtime affiliation with the Wizards, Glenn has established a reputation as a top basketball analyst in the mid Atlantic region, and we feel that pairing him with Dave Johnson will give our fans great insight into Wizards basketball.”

Consor will provide analysis for all Wizards games as well as host the team’s popular post game call-in show. With the addition of Consor to the radio booth, the Wizards Radio Network will now also ‘blogcast’ each game through WashingtonWizards.com. Fans listening to the radio broadcast can ask questions to the Johnson-Consor broadcast team during games through the gameday blog on WashingtonWizards.com, and will have their questions answered live on air.

Consor brings to the broadcast booth almost two decades of over the air experience. He has 17 years of experience analyzing Washington Wizards/Bullets basketball for different media outlets, seven years of tenure on Comcast SportsNet’s Wizards Postgame Live broadcast, and five years of experience as an analyst on NBA-TV. Additionally, Consor has been in the booth for 17 seasons covering college basketball for Comcast SportsNet and Home Team Sports, 15 seasons for ESPN’s regional college hoops coverage, 12 years on SportsTalk 980 and seven seasons on Westwood One’s coverage of the NCAA Tournament.

Consor’s basketball experience also includes five seasons of NBA scouting for the Wizards franchise from 1990-95, after the former point guard retired from professional basketball. A four-year starter for Rick Pitino’s Boston University teams, Consor played professionally in Israel after college.

The Wizards Radio Network stretches across three states and the District of Columbia. In Washington, the Wizards are heard on the team’s flagship station, SportsTalk 980 WTEM and regionally on WAGE in Leesburg, VA; WNAV in Annapolis, MD; WFMD in Frederick, MD; WRNL in Richmond, VA; WRNR in Martinsburg, WV; WBRG in Roanoke, VA; WCEM in Cambridge, MD; and WTFX in Winchester, VA.
