Game Recap: Wizards 78 - Nets 95

John Wall had 16 points and six boards, but the Wizards fell 95-78 to the Brooklyn Nets on Friday night at Barclays Center.

The Wizards found themselves down 24-2 right out of the gate, as Deron Williams went off and hit his first eight three pointers of the game. The Wizards found themselves down 38-14 after one quarter and had to fight their way back the rest of the game.

The first half was the Deron Williams show, as he matched the Wizards in points with 33. The Wizards found themselves down 59-33 at the half and had a lot of work cut out for the second half.

The Wizards could only get as close to within 13 of the Nets in the fourth quarter, but they did not have enough firepower to come all the way back, and fell 95-78 in the end.

Four Wizards scored in double figures, led by John Wall's 16. Kevin Seraphin and Nene finished with 11 points each, while A.J. Price added 10 points off the bench.

Deron Williams had a night to remember for the Nets, setting a new NBA record with nine three pointers in the first half. He finished with 42 points and 11 threes in the game.

The Wizards play again on Saturday night as they return home and take on the Bobcats (8pm).
