The Toronto Raptors announced Monday their 11-man roster for the 2010 Las Vegas Summer League. First-round draft pick Ed Davis and second-round pick Solomon Alabi will join Raptors DeMar DeRozan, Sonny Weems and Joey Dorsey on this year’s squad.

Davis was selected 13th overall by Toronto in last month’s NBA Draft and will become the fourth first-round draft pick to participate in the Las Vegas Summer League joining Andrea Bargnani (2006), Joey Graham (2005) and DeRozan (2009). Davis averaged 13.4 points in 23 games at North Carolina last season and led the Atlantic Coast Conference in field goal percentage (.659) and blocked shots (2.8). He was also a member of UNC’s NCAA National Championship winning team in 2009.

Alabi completed his three-year collegiate career at Florida State averaging a career-high 11.7 points. He also posted a team-best 2.3 blocks along with 6.1 rebounds en route to being named to the All-ACC Defensive Team.

DeRozan returns to the Las Vegas Summer League following a rookie campaign where he averaged 8.6 points and 2.9 rebounds during 77 appearances. DeRozan was the fourth rookie in team history to start on opening night and set career-highs in points (24), field goals (9), rebounds (14) and minutes (38) during the season finale Apr. 14 vs. New York. He also won the inaugural NBA All-Star Dunk-In by defeating L.A. Clippers’ guard Eric Gordon during halftime of the T-Mobile Rookie Challenge & Youth Jam at All-Star Weekend in Dallas.

Weems had a break-out year for the Raptors, averaging a career-high 7.5 points in 69 games. Weems started the final 12 games of the season posting 13.0 points, 4.3 rebounds and shooting .558 (72- for-129) from the field. He played five games for Denver at the Las Vegas Summer League last season, averaging 16.6 points.

Eric Hughes has been assigned summer league head coaching duties for a third consecutive year. He will be joined by assistants Micah Nori and Alvin Williams. Toronto opens its summer league schedule Friday, July 10 vs. Phoenix beginning at 4 p.m. (ET).
