Raptors Name Marc Eversley Director of Basketball Operations

The Toronto Raptors announced Tuesday they have hired Marc Eversley as the club’s director of basketball operations. Eversley will oversee and manage business functions relating to player development, team security and team services.

Eversley comes to the Raptors from Nike, where he worked for more than 10 years. He spent the past four at the company’s world headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon as its player relationship manager. He was responsible for managing athlete relationships, and team and athlete brand management. He was instrumental in developing strong brand relationships for the company with Steve Nash, Elton Brand, Vince Carter and Gary Payton.

Eversley worked for six years with Nike Canada before heading to Oregon. He began in retail, managing Nike owned stores in Ontario and then moved to their corporate office overseeing Nike Canada’s basketball assets, including high school, college, university and pro. He also managed marketing agreements with NBA Canada, the Vancouver Grizzlies and the Raptors.

Eversley attended high school in Brampton, Ontario, and Urbana University in Urbana, Ohio on a basketball scholarship.
