Detroit Pistons Announce Schedule and Roster for Orlando Summer League

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. – The Detroit Pistons announced today that the club will participate in the 2014 Southwest Airlines Orlando Pro Summer League which will be held at the Amway Center's practice court in Orlando, FL. The league will feature 10 teams and will run from July 5-11 with a championship day slated for the final day.

Current Pistons’ players Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Tony Mitchell and Peyton Siva are all expected to participate. Spencer Dinwiddie, drafted by Detroit with the 38th selection in the 2014 NBA Draft, will be present at summer league but will not participate due to his on-going recovery from an ACL injury. Assistant coaches Bob Beyer, Brendan Malone and Charles Klask will serve as the summer league coaching staff, with Beyer serving as head coach.

  • July 5, Detroit vs. Houston, 3:00 p.m. ET
  • July 6, Detroit vs. Memphis, 3:00 p.m. ET
  • July 8, Detroit vs. Miami, 5:00 p.m. ET
  • July 9, Detroit vs. Boston, 7:00 p.m. ET
  • July 11*, TBD, TBD

*Championship Day (all teams will play a final fifth game regardless of record)
