Mark Ridley’s Comedy Castle To Host A “Night Of Laughs” March 10 To Support 2011 Pistons Care Telethon

Mark Ridley’s Comedy Castle in Royal Oak is hosting a “Night of Laughs” on Thursday, March 10 as a fundraiser for the 2011 Pistons Care Telethon benefiting all Boys & Girls Clubs in Michigan.

Show time is 8 p.m. and admission is $10. Mark Ridley is donating all proceeds from tickets purchased for those patrons who mention “Palace Comedy” when purchasing tickets to the show. Those who plan on attending are encouraged to call in advance for reservations at 248-542-9900 or tickets can be purchased at the door.

Mark Ridley’s Comedy Castle is located at 310 South Troy Street in downtown Royal Oak, MI 48067. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. and the show features headliner Sean Patton with local comedians Dave Bell and Paul Piziks opening. Ages 18 and up are welcome.

The 2011 Pistons Care Telethon benefiting all Boys & Girls Clubs in Michigan will take place on Friday, March 18. The team is devoting the entire day leading up to the Pistons’ game against the New York Knicks, including their in-arena presentation and game broadcasts, to raise money for all Boys & Girls Clubs in Michigan. The telethon begins at 5 a.m. with live radio and television broadcasts at The Palace and runs throughout the day, culminating with Pistons-Knicks game at 7:30 p.m., broadcast on Fox Sports Detroit and 97.1 The Ticket.

This year’s Pistons Care Telethon will help fund memberships, programs and initiatives to help children enhance their lives in the areas of character and leadership education and career development the arts sports, fitness and recreation and health and life skills.

The cost of an annual membership for a child is only $50, however the actual cost of delivering a year of service is $500 per child. Members can participate in many programs and activities with each receiving the individual attention they need when they visit their Club, which is often the third most frequented location in that child’s life besides their home and school.
