Casino Windsor Club Opens at The Palace

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. — Officials from Palace Sports & Entertainment have signed a five-year naming rights agreement with Casino Windsor, the Windsor-based casino resort. Per the agreement, the 13,000 square foot club located in The Palace of Auburn Hills’ West Atrium will now be called the Casino Windsor Club (formerly the Cingular Club). Financial details of the agreement were undisclosed.

The naming rights deal gives immediate name recognition for Casino Windsor at one of the most popular clubs within The Palace. The Casino Windsor Club name will be used on all signage at the club, directional signage in The Palace, all paper products used in the club and staff will wear Casino Windsor-branded uniforms. Temporary signage will be in place for Friday’s game against the Milwaukee Bucks.

Additional aspects of the naming rights deal include in-arena signage, television and radio advertisement, sponsorship of the Pistons post-game television show – Casino Windsor Wrap and exclusivity in the casino category for in-game radio broadcasts.

“Casino Windsor has established itself as one of the premier entertainment organizations in the area and we admire the way they service their guests,” said Tom Wilson, president and CEO of Palace Sports & Entertainment. “Our organizations are similar in that we both work very hard to provide the best entertainment experience for all of our guests. This partnership agreement is a wonderful opportunity for Casino Windsor to showcase their name and ultimately their brand.”

Membership benefits, including tickets, food, beverage, private parking and a private entrance, will not change with the Casino Windsor Club name change. Currently there are more than 500 members of the club. Officials from Casino Windsor say they will also create a synergy between the casino and the Casino Windsor Club at The Palace with exciting promotional nights and themed events.

Kevin Laforet, President and CEO of Casino Windsor said, “We’re excited about this new partnership with the Palace given its status as a premier entertainment venue offering some of the greatest sporting events and concerts in the world.”

Casino Windsor is transforming into a luxurious resort destination with a $400 million expansion and renovation project to be completed in early 2008. When the new expansion property opens, the facility will be renamed Caesars Windsor, a world-class brand known for its attentive service and luxury. A new 369-room hotel tower is being built to complement the existing 389 room four-diamond hotel, a multi-functional 5,000 seat entertainment centre will spotlight world-class performers and 100,000 square feet of convention space will set a new standard for resort destinations in the area. Renovations inside the current facility have opened up an impressive six-story Rotunda, a redesigned gaming floor several new restaurants and lounges, including Legends Sports Bar which offers sports wagering.
