2014-15 Player Recap: Brandon Jennings

SEASON SUMMARY

Jennings began the season playing very well – right at career-best levels, Stan Van Gundy said – before suffering a thumb injury in a Nov. 21 loss at Atlanta. He missed three games, then struggled for a month upon his return as the Pistons slumped to a 5-23 start. From Christmas until the time he was injured in late January, Jennings played at an All-Star level, averaging 19.7 points and 7.0 assists while shooting nearly 40 percent from the 3-point line. The Pistons went 12-3 in one stretch that ended the night Jennings was injured.

JENNINGS BY NUMBERS

41: Number of games Jennings both played and missed, his season ending when he suffered an Achilles tendon rupture at Milwaukee on Jan. 24.

19.4: Points per 36 minutes Jennings averaged, one-tenth of a point off his career high set in the lockout-shortened 2011-12 season.
