The NBA delivered a unique birthday gift to Chris Paul, announcing that the 6-foot point guard has become the first player in Hornets history to be named to the league’s All-Defensive first team.
Paul, who is celebrating his 24th birthday today, was a second-team selection in 2007-08. Prior to Paul being picked for the second team last season, the most recent Hornet to garner a spot on either the first or second All-Defensive team was P.J. Brown's second-team status in 2000-01.
