Pelicans All-Star power forward Anthony Davis gave fans a brief scare when he landed awkwardly on his left leg and exited for the locker room during the third quarter of Wednesday's game, but he was only out of action for a few minutes. Davis returned to the game with eight-plus minutes remaining in the fourth quarter and grabbed a defensive rebound only a couple possessions later. The Peilcans trailed by a basket upon Davis' fourth-quarter entry.
Fox Sports New Orleans sideline reporter Jennifer Hale tweeted that Davis has sustained a groin injury, but badly wanted to return to the game.
