1) The Pelicans will hold their seventh practice in four days this morning, prior to taking a flight to Houston this afternoon in advance of Saturday’s preseason opener. It’s the start of a three-game, six-day road trip that also stops in Dallas and Jacksonville for games on Monday and Wednesday.

2) Saturday’s game against the Rockets is scheduled as a 7 p.m. tip-off in the Toyota Center. You can follow the action live on the Pelicans Radio Network (105.3 FM) and Pelicans.com. Seven of the team’s eight preseason games will be carried live on 105.3 FM, with the lone exception being the Oct. 13 game vs. Atlanta in Biloxi. The games will not be televised; unfortunately, NBA TV did not select any Pelicans exhibition tilts among its 32-game schedule. Pelicans.com will have highlights and postgame videos following all eight New Orleans games.

3) Anthony Davis talks extensively about what a difference a year has made in his preparation for his second NBA season.

4) Read Thursday’s news and notes from Day 3 of training camp.

5) Thursday was a busy interview day at practice. Watch interviews with Monty Williams, Jrue Holiday and Greg Stiemsma.
