Jay-Z Produces Playoff Song for the Nets Featuring Young Gunz

“The Takeover,” a remake of his 2001 hit, to debut during Game 3

of the Nets-Miami Heat first-round playoff series

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (April 26, 2005) – World-renown hip hop star, music executive and Nets part-owner Jay-Z has co-produced a playoff song for the Nets, along with Trackmasters Tone and Poke, which will debut during Game 3 of the Nets-Miami Heat first-round playoff series Thursday at the Continental Airlines Arena.

The Takeover is a remake of Jay-Z’s 2001 hit of the same name, which was featured on his CD “The Blueprint.”

The Takeover was recorded last week by Roc-a-fella Records

recording artists Young Gunz, whose newest album is being released on

May 24. The song will be used as the Nets’ anthem during the 2005

Playoffs, and is available as an exclusive download on www.njnets.com.
