Xavier Henry was shutdown for the rest of the season, after having continued soreness in his right knee. He was also dealing with a torn ligament in his wrist, an injury suffered on Mar. 21 vs. Washington. He underwent successful surgery to repair the torn ligament in his left wrist as well as the cartilage abnormality in his knee on Apr. 11. Pau Gasol played just 19 minutes vs. Orlando on Sunday, Mar. 23, and did not start the second half because of dizziness and nausea. After having spent the night in the hospital, Gasol was diagnosed as having vertigo. The Spaniard missed the last eight games of the regular season and 12 of the last 13. Steve Nash dished out five assists vs. Houston on Tuesday, Apr. 8, to pass Mark Jackson (10,334) for third all-time in assists in NBA history.
