The Hornets hot streak at home continued as they took care of business at Time Warner Cable Arena with a 113-88 win over the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday, Nov. 20, in Charlotte. With the victory over the 76ers, Charlotte moved its record back above .500 for the first time since winning the opening game of the 2014-15 NBA season. Al Jefferson had a monstrous night, leading the Hornets with a game-high 26 points while Nerlens Noel tallied 16 points off the bench for the 76ers in the loss.

Turning Points
Philadelphia’s fate was all but sealed by the end of first quarter as the Hornets got off to hot start, outscoring the 76ers, 30-19, on 13-of-21 shooting (61.9 percent) in the frame. Philadelphia’s big men, Jahlil Okafor and Nerlens Noel, had no answer for Charlotte veteran Al Jefferson, who drained 6-of-8 attempts from the field to finish with a team-high 14 points in the quarter. The Hornets would keep things going in the second, extending the lead to 62-41, to take a 21-point advantage into halftime. Coming out of the break, the 76ers were able to put together a couple of runs here and there in the second half but never really got back in the game as Charlotte came away with its fifth-consecutive home win.
