Hornets Assign Harrison and Wood to Greensboro

November 17, 2016 – Charlotte Hornets General Manager Rich Cho announced today that the team has assigned guard Aaron Harrison and forward Christian Wood to the Greensboro Swarm, the team’s NBA Development League affiliate.

Harrison (6-6, 212, Kentucky) is in his second year with the Hornets and has appeared in one regular-season game so far this season totaling one rebound and one assist in three minutes of play.  The Hornets guard appeared in 13 D-League games last season (on assignment in Oklahoma City and Erie) and averaged 17.6 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game in 29.9 minutes.

Wood (6-11, 220, University of Nevada-Las Vegas), is in his first year with the Hornets after signing as a free agent on July 14, 2016 after spending his rookie year with the Philadelphia 76ers. The second-year forward has appeared in one regular season game for the Hornets this season grabbing two rebounds in three minutes of play.  Wood was assigned to the Sixers D-League affiliate, the Delaware 87ers, a total of four times last season. He appeared in 32 total games averaging 17.3 points, 9.4 rebounds and 1.1 blocks in 28.8 minutes played.

The assignment of Harrison and Wood marks the Hornets first D-League assignment to the Greensboro Swarm since the team’s inception.
