The Result
Behind a barrage of 3-pointers, the Atlanta Hawks blew open the game in the second quarter, downing Charlotte, 105-75, on Nov. 29 in Atlanta, sending the Hornets to their ninth-straight defeat.

Turning Points
After falling behind 28-17 in the first quarter, the Hornets could not slow down Atlanta in the second as the Hawks began to pull away. Atlanta hit five 3-pointers in the frame alone, out-scoring the Charlotte 36-11 to put the game out of reach in a hurry.

Inside the Box Score
It was a tough shooting night for the Hornets, who shot 33 percent (29-of-88) from the floor and just 21.7 percent (5-of-23) from behind the arc… Atlanta hit nine of its first 10 shots from long range, finishing the night with a 52.3-percent clip from 3-point land and 53.3 percent (40-of-75) total… Four Hornets reached double figures, but only two came from the starting-five… Gerald Henderson tallied 14 points to go with four assists… Al Jefferson finished with 11 points on 4-of-9 shooting… Rookie P.J. Hairston recorded a team-high 15 points, including three 3-pointers, to go along with four rebounds, one assists, one block and one steal… Jannero Pargo added 10 points off the bench.

Hornets Player of the Game
Rookie P.J. Hairston was a bright spot off the bench, dropping a team-high 15 points on 5-of-13 shooting with three 3-pointers. Hairston added four rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal.

Hawks Player of the Game
Paul Millsap was one of the six Hawks in double figures, finishing with a game-high 18 point with six points and three steals.

Game Notes
Charlotte was once again without the services of Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (foot), Marvin Williams (shoulder) and Gary Neal (shoulder)… Kemba Walker managed four points and six assists… Cody Zeller couldn’t keep up his strong play, managing just four points and three boards in the starting lineup… Lance Stephenson added six points, three rebounds and three assists… Bismack Biyombo was tough off the bench with seven points and a team-high 11 boards.
