Hawks Release 2016 Preseason Schedule

ATLANTA -- The Atlanta Hawks Basketball Club today announced the seven-game 2016 preseason schedule, which includes Philips Arena contests against the defending NBA champion Cleveland Cavaliers, Detroit Pistons and New Orleans Pelicans.

The Hawks take on the Cavaliers on Monday, Oct. 10th, the Pistons on Thursday, Oct. 13th and the Pelicans on Tuesday, Oct. 18th (Tip times TBD).

Atlanta will play on the road four times during preseason – the opener on Thursday, Oct. 6th at Memphis, followed by Saturday, Oct. 8th at San Antonio, Sunday, Oct. 16th at Orlando and Thursday, Oct. 20th at Chicago (in Omaha, NE).

FOX Sports Southeast will televise all three of the Hawks’ home contests – vs. Cleveland, Detroit and New Orleans. Bob Rathbun will call the action for all three preseason games alongside analyst Dominique Wilkins. All three games will also stream live on the free FOX Sports GO app.

Three games (at San Antonio, vs. Cleveland and vs. New Orleans) will air on the Hawks’ flagship radio station, CBS RADIO’S SportsRadio 92-9 The Game, as well as partner stations on the Hawks Radio Network with “Voice of the Hawks” Steve Holman calling the action.

Tickets for the home preseason games will be available at a later date.
