Hawks Announce Media Day and Training Camp Information

ATLANTA, September 19, 2012 - The Atlanta Hawks
will hold training camp prior to the start of the 2012 preseason at the team’s
practice court at Philips Arena beginning Tuesday, October 2 from 10 a.m. – 12
noon. Prior to the start of camp, the Hawks’ annual Media Day activities will
take place on Monday, October 1 at 2:45 p.m., also on the practice court.

Head Coach Larry Drew will be available prior to the players, from 2:45-3:00.

For the second consecutive season, the Hawks will welcome a selected group of
season ticket holders to experience media day like credentialed media for a
behind-the-scenes look at the activities. The Hawks are one of only a select
number of NBA teams to create this type of experience for their fans.

Following media day, Head Coach Larry Drew and his players will practice twice
daily over the first two days of workouts (Tuesday, October 2nd and Wednesday,
October 3rd), with one session on Thursday (October 4). Atlanta will follow with
a two-a-day session on Friday, October 5th, and will practice once on Saturday,
October 6th.

Media members will have access to the final half-hour of each morning session,
at approximately 11:30 a.m. Please contact Hawks PR to confirm all practice
times and media availability. Each of the evening sessions are closed to the
media.

Following the conclusion of training camp, Atlanta will host defending NBA
champion Miami at Philips Arena on Sunday, October 7 (2 p.m.). The rest of the
