Dennis Schröder Plays In Vegas Table Tennis Tournament

When Dennis Schröder isn't competing on the court in the Las Vegas Summer League, he's competing in something else.

Table tennis.

Schröder played in the NBA's annual Table Tennis Challenge Wednesday night.  The tournament, held in Las Vegas during the Summer League, fielded 32 players, including Houston Rockets General Manager Daryl Morey, Charlotte Hornets General Manager Rich Cho and former Hawks coach Bob Weiss, now on Charlotte's staff.

The competition was no joke.  Morey, Cho and Weiss appear to all play on a regular basis (in other words, they're really, really good).  Cho won the tournament in 2013.

Schröder isn't too bad himself.  He won his first two matches, including an upset over Weiss, before falling in the final eight.

All proceeds from the event, which included player registration fees and donations collected throughout the night, benefited the St. Jude Children's Hospital.

All in all, a pretty cool experience.  See photos of Schröder in action here.
