The Boston Celtics had a terrific weekend, sweeping the Cleveland Cavaliers to put themselves within a game of what a month ago appeared to be an improbable playoff berth.
The Nets lost a critical game against the Bucks Sunday, putting their playoff status in jeopardy. The loss, combined with a Pacers win over Oklahoma City, means that the Nets cannot afford another slip. They still own the tiebreaker over the Pacers.
