8 Flavors of Oreos, Ranked

The offseason can at times mean a slow go in NBA teams' business offices.  So when a birthday celebration for a staff member (who happens to love Oreos) included eight different varieties of Oreos on Monday, we decided to have all participants rank them from favorite to least favorite.

The flavors were: Chocolate Chip, Chocolate, Cinnamon Bun, Cool Mint, Golden, Lemon Twist, Pumpkin Spice and Red Velvet.  We know there are many, many flavors out there, but these were the eight available to us.

Here's how we ranked them, with an explanation of each below:

1)  Red Velvet2)  Cool Mint3)  Cinnamon Bun4)  Chocolate Chip5)  Golden6)  Pumpkin Spice7)  Lemon Twist8)  Chocolate

Red Velvet:  The red cookies are a nice touch, and the cream cheese flavoring is the perfect combo here.  It tastes just like red velvet cake, and most of the staff ranked this #1.

Cool Mint:  Most things with chocolate and mint are amazing, and this Oreo staple is no exception.

Cinnamon Bun:  Many in the office were pleasantly surprised by this one.  The key here is not making the cinnamon flavor too strong.  Well done.

Chocolate Chip:  This is your standard goodness, and the fact that they went with the milk-flavored cookies over the chocolate ones was the right decision.

Golden:  The most traditional and plain of the eight, and so it's no surprise that Golden lands here.

Pumpkin Spice:  As one staff member said, "This tastes fake."  And it did.  There are a lot of ways to make pumpkin good, but this one missed.

Lemon Twist:  Poor lemon.  Lemon will never rank highly in anything, ever.

Chocolate:  Too much chocolate going on here, to be honest.  Eating this one early is a death trap.  Or it will just make you feel sick before you get finished with the others.
