Atlanta Hawks Re-Sign Forward Ivan Johnson

- The Atlanta
Hawks have re-signed restricted free agent forward Ivan Johnson, it was
announced today by President of Basketball Operations/GM Danny Ferry. Per club
policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

As a rookie last season, Johnson averaged 6.4 ppg and 4.0 rpg (.513 FG%, .720
FT%) in 16.7 mpg, in 56 games off the bench. He led Atlanta in FG% and finished
fourth in rebounding.

Among all NBA rookies, the 28-year-old Johnson ranked third in FG%, 14th in rpg
and 18th in ppg, while tying for sixth in double-doubles with three. He was
named the NBA’s Eastern Conference Rookie of the Month for April after putting
up 10.7 ppg, 5.9 rpg, 1.8 bpg and 1.5 spg (.582 FG%, .714 FT%) in 11 contests.
