Grizzlies roll past Blazers, 97-86

The Memphis Grizzlies handed the Portland Trail Blazers their fourth consecutive loss in a 97-86 decision Saturday night at FedExForum. The Grizzlies improved to 27-7 at home, including an 16-6 record against Western Conference opponents.

Jeff Green led all Grizzlies scorers with a team-high 23 points on 8-of-16 (.500) shooting and nine rebounds. Green shot 5-of-7 from beyond the arc. Green's 23 points were the most he has scored in a Grizzlies uniform. In his second game back to the lineup, Mike Conley contributed 21 points on 8-of-11 shooting and dished out nine assists. Tonight's effort was Conley's 19th 20-plus point scoring game of the season. Tony Allen recorded his second double-double of the season with 10 points and 11 rebounds. Allen also continued his push for the NBA First All-Defense with six steals.

All five Grizzlies starters scored in double-digits.

Memphis outshot the Trail Blazers at three-point range, shooting .611 on 11-of-18, tying its season high on three-point field goals made. The Grizzlies also improved to 37-9 when holding their opponents to under 100 points.

Damian Lillard led all Portland scorers with 27 points, seven assists and three rebounds in 39 minutes of play. Lillard also shot a perfect 9-of-9 from the charity stripe. LaMarcus Aldridge added 16 points and five rebounds. Aldridge (left hand injury) and Nicolas Batum (lower back injury) both left the game due to injury and did not return to the game.

Memphis will tip-off again Monday, March 23 against the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden at 6:30pm (CT).
