To celebrate the beginning of the 2014-15 basketball season, the Grizzlies will treat fans to a free Plaza Party and Open Practice starting from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 6 at FedExForum. Free parking will be available in the Toyota Parking Garage.
Starting at 11:30 a.m., beloved mascot Grizz will be up to his normal tricks alongside the Grizz Girls at this season’s first Plaza Party. Grizzlies inflatables, face painters, balloon artists and a DJ will provide entertainment for the whole family and food and refreshments will be available for purchase courtesy of Jets Pizza and Pepsi. The Open Practice will be from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m., where Grizz fans will get to see the exclusive, first public look at the new and returning Grizzlies players and coaches in action.
With Dave Joerger at the helm, the Grizzlies are coming off a second straight 50-win season and will tip-off an eight-game preseason slate on Wednesday, Oct. 8 against the Milwaukee Bucks in Green Bay, Wisc. The Grizzlies will then open the regular season with a home-opener on Wednesday, Oct. 29 against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
